DHC Consultant to Speak at the 11th Annual Retail Conference

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA, March 2007 – When category management is done right, it can conjure magical results for retailers. But what is the secret to getting the proper mix of products?

Lee Nichols, DHC President & CEO, will be a featured speaker at the 11th Annual Retail Conference, “The Marketing of Magazines and Books” which will take place on March 4-6 at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate, FL.. This event is co-hosted by the Magazine Publishers of America and the International Periodical Distributors Association (IPDA) and draws attendees from every level of the retail supply chain – publishers, wholesalers, distributor, suppliers and retailers.

On Monday, March 5, Lee will speak on “Category Magic” Creating A Winning Environment. Lee will speak on the key challenge facing category management and the retailers that practice it -- "to differentiate their stores in ways that will make them more relevant and compelling to shoppers". He will discuss how analyzing trends in consumer purchase behavior and matching them to a retailer's unique market positioning can help improve publication sales and marketing effectiveness, build the right assortment and maximize cross-merchandising opportunities.
